Yea, so the original feature for today was going to be about Small Business Saturday... But that was before I realized that it was next Saturday. Grand Owl no can read calendars good. So that'll be next Thursday (Thanksgiving? WTF?! Where did this year go?).
As always, The Geek Easy is having a cool event, this time commemorating the 25th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda. I remember going to my best friend's house and watching him play Zelda for hours while I flipped through his issues of Nintendo Power.
Saturday night, starting at 8pm, you can immerse yourself in the history of Hyrule as Play 'n Trade - Oviedo will have all of the previous Zelda games on display and playable. Other Zelda-themed events include a costume contest, art show, and an "all Zelda" Super Smash Bros. tournament. Then, at midnight, you can purchase Link's newest adventure - The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which is already receiving very favorable reviews. And, since it's a Geek Easy party, there will be free BEvERages available. This is also the first event being held by A Comic Shop's new Retro Gamer's Army, which is hoping to host monthly themed events at The Geek Easy.
