A couple months ago, we spotlighted here the Area-O Sci-Fi group from the online organizing site Meetup. But, if science-fiction isn’t your forte but you’re into the geeky scene and want to hang out with others of your ilk, maybe the Orlando Nerds & Geeks group is more up your alley.
Based around Seminole County, the group hosts events of the gaming and comic book variety. Frequenting the weekly Sunday Morning Chat & Chew event at Longwood’s Acme Superstore, the group also hosts small local get-togethers at the homes of other members or movie outings.
Upcoming, the group is looking to launch their own Dungeons & Dragons weekly game. They will be meeting this Friday at the Denny’s in Uptown Altamonte to discuss details. More information on this upcoming game can be found on their website.
