Well, didn’t really know how to classify this… But considering that I didn’t have another thing picked out to do a Local Spotlight on, we’re going with this.
Recently opened along International Drive is Star Trek: The Exhibition, which was previously being shown at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. The exhibit promises the largest collection of Star Trek props, costumes, and sets ever put on show. The memorabilia spans all the television series, as well as the movies series (both old and new). The exhibition also features a recreation of the bridge of the Enterprise with Kirk’s chair.
In addition to the memorabilia, Star Trek: The Exhibition offers a trove of information and trivia for even the most die-hard Trek fans (we’ll go with that instead of the eternal debate of Trekkies vs. Trekkers).
Star Trek: The Exhibition is open at 7220 International Drive… Next to CSI: The Exhibition. Coming soon, 2 and a Half Men: The Exhibition. Really, this whole post was a ruse to make that joke. Was it worth it? Only time will tell.
