Featured Release: Falling Skies: The Complete First Season

Last Summer, cable network TNT broke away from their programming made for middle-aged women roots to partner with Steven Spielberg to bring an original sci-fi drama to air, the alien invasion series Falling Skies.  While the new season starts in less than two weeks, if you missed out on the first you can check it out with today’s release of the first season on Blu-ray and DVD.

The series takes place six months after an alien invasion that decimated the human population.  The lead character is Tom Mason (Noah Wyle), a former military history professor who uses his knowledge to lead a militia group in opposing the alien forces while also searching for his son who was kidnapped by the alien invaders.

Falling Skies releases on Blu-ray and DVD today.  Season 2 airs on TNT with a 2-hour premiere on June 17th.
