Bonjour et bienvenue à une nouvelle semaine à Génération Geek.
Yes, thanks to Geeq Shuq, I’ve discovered that some shitty French meme page on Facebook has ripped-off our name and logo. Don’t know which I’m more upset about: the fact that they ripped us off or that they have over 1,100 likes in just four months. Whatever, I’m not going to piss off some lame French trolls, or whatever term they use for them over there. Plus, I’m too full of positivity to dwell on it.
First, major thanks to Geeklisted and their awesome review of our blog. I’m so truly honored!
If you follow the GGOrlando Twitter account, you probably know that I’m well underway working on the update of the blog – which I’m hoping to launch on August 20th. As a Marketing major, I always read press releases and announcements where people say they’re “excited” and “eager” to show off whatever new thing they’ve been working on. And, whenever I read that, I roll my eyes. Guess I’ve never actually worked on something I could take pride in, but I really think the updates that I’m working on are awesome and people will enjoy and find useful. So yes, I’m very excited to show off the new GGOrlando in two months. And, if you have any recommendations for me, feel free to send them in to grandowl@ggorlando.com.
But, the new GGOrlando is still a couple months off. Voici ce qui se passe cette semaine à la Génération Geek:
- Monday: Local Spotlight – Coliseum of Comics’ Comics Literacy Course
- Tuesday: New Home Video & Video Game Releases feat. Christopher Nolan Director’s Collection
- Wednesday: This Week in Comics feat. Hit-Girl #1
- Thursday: Orlando Events Calendar – Free Comic Book Gay Wedding Reception
- Friday: GGOrlando Editorial – E3 Orlando 2013
(Editor’s Note: While I was a French minor in college (dropped after second semester), I remember nothing of it. Thus, if I screwed up any of the French sections, blame Bing Translator.
