So, I know the area of East Orlando is developing at a rapid pace, but I still think of that area of town as nothing but woods, cow pastures, and Bithlo (Do they still race school buses over there? That was kinda cool). Filling in the gap and providing a local comics alternative versus driving into the city is Epic Comics (man, I’m really making East Orlando sound like podunk… I don’t mean too).
Opened just last year, Epic Comics is located in the Waterford Towers shopping center near 434 and the East-West Expressway. The store is decked out in artwork along the walls, including prints available for sale. In addition, Epic offers the latest in comics, games, and collectibles you’d expect.
Next Saturday, August 18th, from 4-7pm, stop into the shop to meet Clay Mann – the artist for this week’s new ongoing Marvel title Gambit.
Epic Comics is located in the Waterford Towers Shopping Center, between the Sports Authority and Kohl’s. 570 North Alafaya Trail, Suite 106, Orlando.
