Boy, had we won the Best Local Events Blog in the Orlando Weekly’s Best of Orlando 2012 poll… I mean I had something huge planned. Something you would have been telling your children and grandchildren about. Alas, we didn’t. It’d almost be cruel to let you know what you could have had.
But, one place that sweeps up in the Best of Orlando’s year-after-year is Winter Park’s A Comic Shop. This year, once again, A Comic Shop won Best Comic Shop while it’s sister lounge The Geek Easy won Best Kept Secret. So it’s time to celebrate! This Saturday night, starting at 9pm, the shop is going to go all-out recognizing their fans for this distinction. Besides the FREE BEvERages and food, there will be live performances – including personal fave Marc with a C (w/MC Wreckshin at 10p)
So, while we’re at it, let me once again congratulate the “geek” contingent in this year’s Best of Orlando’s. Hopefully we will make the list in 2013 (we’d better!).
