Trendy bars that mix classic arcade games with a large selection of craft beers has been a niche gaining steam with place’s like Brooklyn’s Barcade.  Orlando gets its first entrant into this genre with the recent opening of BART.

Located in the Mills 50 district, BART brings the arcade games and the beers, but also adds a bit of class – BART proudly features works by local artists.  But it’s likely that it is the beers and games that readers here are most interested in, and BART has its fair share of both.  On the game front, BART has arcade cabinets of classics Asteroids, Centipede, Donkey Kong, Frogger, Galaga, Ms. Pac-Man, Missle Command, and Pac-Man.  On the brews front, BART has you covered with craft brewers like Tampa’s Cigar City, Atlanta’s Terrapin, and Delaware’s Dogfish Head amongst many more.

With the neighborhood arcade long extinct, those of us who remember them must be of legal drinking age now.  So, now we get to combine one of our passions from childhood with one of the great advantages of being an adult.  And all that’s very exciting!

BART is localted at 1205 N. Mills Avenue in Orlando – Open Wednesday-Sunday from 4pm-2am.
