Featured Release: Fringe – The Complete Fourth Season

A couple years ago, I used to listen to former Orlando geek podcast Prime Time Geek review Fringe and thought to myself “Hmm…  I should probably check that show out.”  Well, I never did.  But, with this week’s release of the fourth season of the series on DVD reminds me that maybe I should get on that.

For the uninitiated, like myself, the Fox series Fringe follows a group within the FBI called the Fringe Division (huh, seem to remember another Fox show that was kinda similar…  X-something-or-other).  The difference between Fringe and the aforementioned X-Files is that, instead of aliens, Fringe focuses on mysterious events that stem from the existence of a parallel universe.

Season 4 revolves around the two universes coordinating to keep reality from collapsing in on itself as the worlds begin to overlap.  The finale from last season, titled Brave New World, warns of the ominous threat that will be the focus of this upcoming season – the series’ last – whose 13-episode run will air locally on FOX 35 starting on September 28th.
