Featured Release:  American Horror Story – The Complete First Season

It’s getting to be that time of year…  The weather is getting cooler, the days are getting shorter, and the evenings are getting a bit more macabre.  It’s the perfect time for FX to release the first season of last year’s hit new cable series, American Horror Story.

The 12-episode series premiered nearly a year ago (October 5th, 2011) on FX, and introduced the country to the Harmon family.  After some trials in Boston, the family decides to move to Los Angeles for a new start.  However, their choice in real estate left something to be desired.  The mansion they move into is haunted by its previous residents and work to make the Harmon’s lives Hell.

The show is a definite departure for the creators, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, whose last big series was Glee.  However, they also produced FX’s long-running drama Nip/Tuck.  Watch the first season and then get ready for Season 2, called American Horror Story: Asylum, which premieres on FX on October 17th.
