Local Spotlight – New Local Podcasts

The independent local geek podcast scene is seemingly booming lately.  Last week I introduced the new Nerdy Show podcast – The Wicked Anime Podcast.  This week, two new podcasts to add to your feed.

Coliseum of Comics’ The Long Box

Not necessarily new, but since this Summer the crew of Coliseum of Comics has been producing ‘The Long Box’.  The weekly comic book discussion show talks about the weekly releases and selects a member of the show selects the “Book of the Week”. 

With the last episode coming out roughly a month ago, the show is going through a brief hiatus.  So maybe stop by your local Coliseum or drop an e-mail to online@coliseumofcomics.com and let them know.  Always appreciated to have new local podcasts.

Guardians of Geekdom

Now, we move to a brand spanking-new podcast.  Launching two weeks ago is the new show ‘Guardians of Geekdom’.  Hosted by Dusty of ‘The Covert Cast’ (formerly of ‘Slacker and the Man’), with newcomers Bacon and Jenny Lee.

The premiere episode introduced the cast, a little Halloween discussion of their favorite horror movies, and reviews of Arrow and Revolution.
