For a few years, the hosts of the local Anime Addicts Anonymous Podcast have been a staple locally – hosting the weekly podcast, maintaining a large online community, and being staples at local conventions hosting panels and viewing rooms. Last night, the AAA Podcast hosted their first broadcast directly from the “Land of the Rising Sun”. So, it becomes time to find another locally-based podcast dedicated to the world of Anime.
While the Wicked Anime crew has been doing video segments for YouTube since April, early last month the Wicked Anime Podcast was introduced as part of the Nerdy Show Network. The bi-weekly show is hosted by Jonathon, Andrew, Dillon, Glitch, and Sean, and covers the world of Japanese culture and it’s role on pop-culture here in the U.S. (last show I listened to was Anime that should be adapted by Hollywood into feature films).
Only up to Episode 3, it’s easy to go through the prior episodes as they take a comedic take on the world of Anime. You can also join their community on Facebook or join their forum. Also view their YouTube page for clips from Anime cons and reviews of recent shows.
