Orlando Events Calendar – Skill Focus: Burlesque: Classic Horror

In preparing the GGOrlando Events Calendar each week, it’s hard not to notice the dearth of events in the middle of the week.  So, if you need a midweek break from the workaday world, the sirens of Skill Focus: Burlesque bid you welcome to The Peacock Room on Tuesday night for “A Night of Classic Horror”.

While sexuality and horror has been rather overt since the ‘70s, tastes in the ‘30s and ‘40s were much more conservative.  However, the world of classic horror was just as sexual, and much more subversive.  It’s going to be from this world that the Skill Focus troupe will draw for Tuesday night’s performance.

The troupe’s Facebook page has been posting previews, including a sexy Rod Serling, an ‘unwrapped’ mummy, and a beautiful bride for Frankenstein.

Skill Focus: Burlesque presents ‘A Night of Classic Horror’, starting at 10pm at The Peacock Room.
