Featured Release: Batman #13
The last time we saw the “Clown Prince of Crime”, it was in the pages of Detective Comics #1. And we see him undergoing a very peculiar sort of plastic surgery – having his face removed. The issue closes with the skin of his face hanging from a hook in a doctor’s office.
Obviously, The Joker of the New 52 definitely hasn’t lost any of the crazy. While Batman has been fighting the Court of Owls in Gotham, Joker has been lying in wait for the last year plotting his revenge.
If the action and suspense of the Court of Owls is any indication, Batman better watch himself when he faces this new version of The Joker. Snyder has promised the “most shocking Joker story I could tell”. The introduction of The Joker starts a new story arc for the “Bat” books called Death of the Family. No other information is known, as DC is being decidedly tight-lipped about what will be coming for all of the Bat family. The current trend for the DC titles is 6-issue story arcs, so the next 6 months across the “Bat” books promises to be incredibly exciting.
Batman #13 arrives on store shelves today. Death of the Family, the current story arc, will run across all the “Bat” books.
